Director of Operations

Mike Lewis

Mike Lewis serves as Director of Operations at National Manufacturing Group’s Holt facility, where he oversees day-to-day plant operations and keeps everything running efficiently. With 35 years in the manufacturing industry, he brings a steady, hands-on approach to leadership and problem solving.

Mike’s background is rooted in the automotive sector, with experience across a range of processes including thermoforming, compression molding, twin sheet molding, and vacuum forming. Over the years, he’s developed a strong reputation for improving operational efficiency and troubleshooting equipment and process challenges—skills that continue to make an impact on the floor every day.

What Mike appreciates most about National is the team. He values working alongside people who are committed to doing things the right way and takes pride in helping create an environment where the operation—and the people behind it—can succeed. As the company grows, his goal is simple: grow with it and help make it a place where people want to work.

Mike grew up in Stockbridge, Michigan, and recently made a short move to Munith, just down the road. Outside of work, he spends as much time as possible outdoors, whether that’s hunting, fishing, or boating—usually with his two sons. He’s also an avid gardener, which tends to surprise people who only know him from the shop floor.

At home, he’s got a black lab named Buddy, and his mornings typically start with a strong cup of black coffee. If he ever got the chance to step away, Fiji would be at the top of his list for its scenery and laid-back atmosphere.

Mike’s path into manufacturing started with a simple curiosity about how things are made, and that interest has stayed with him throughout his career. He served in the Army and later attended both El Paso Community College and Lansing Community College. Of everything he’s accomplished, he’s most proud of raising his two sons into responsible adults.
