Director of Business Development

Jim Barb

Jim Barb brings 27 years of experience in the metal manufacturing industry to his role as Director of Business Development at National Manufacturing Group. He focuses on growing new business across National’s Composite, Plastics, and Metal divisions, with a strong background in both flat rolled steel processing and cab/operator station manufacturing.

Jim has spent his career building relationships throughout the Off Highway Equipment market, and he looks forward to connecting that network with National as the company continues its aggressive growth. He’s excited to learn more about the composite and plastics segments while helping expand the metals side through new cab opportunities. Above all, he enjoys working with the talented teams across the organization.

A native of Johnstown, Ohio, Jim’s career took him and his family through five moves in ten years before returning home. Outside of work, he and his brother run a 450-acre grain farm. He also enjoys boating, golf, and basketball—and he played NCAA Division III basketball at Capital University, where he earned his accounting degree. Jim later spent nearly 15 years coaching youth, middle school, and high school teams.

Jim and his wife share their home with two dogs: Milo, a Schnoodle, and Stevie, a Bernedoodle named after Stevie Nicks. With two kids in college, they’re enjoying the “empty nest” phase and the freedom to travel—though they always seem to end up back in Key West.
