Helen Griffus

With over 30 years in the manufacturing world, Helen Griffus brings a deep well of experience—and a whole lot of passion—to her role as Quality Manager at NMG-Owosso. She’s the go-to person for anything related to quality, ISO certification, or launching new programs without a hitch. Her career journey is a true manufacturing success story: starting out as a line operator in Trim (Cut & Sew), she worked her way up through inspection, design engineering, and now leads quality efforts with unmatched expertise.

What sets Helen apart? A wide-ranging skill set that spans quality, engineering, quoting, and planning—and a genuine love for what she does. “This is the best team I’ve ever worked with,” she says, and it shows.

Born and raised in Chesaning and now living in Owosso, Helen is a proud Michigander with a curious mind and a love for all things historical. When she’s not keeping NMG-Owosso’s Quality Management System running like a well-oiled machine, you’ll probably find her diving into family genealogy or dreaming up her next museum tour through England, Scotland, or Ireland.

She’s especially proud of helping the Owosso plant earn its ISO certification—a milestone that speaks to her dedication and leadership. If she wasn’t in manufacturing, Helen says she’d probably be knee-deep in history or anthropology. But for now, she’s right where she belongs—making sure everything at NMG runs to spec, and then some.
