I am pleased to announce that North Central Equity (the Sunrise Parent Company) and National Composites have entered into an agreement for National Composites to acquire Sunrise Fiberglass LLC.

Given the unprecedented COVID related impact to the Sunrise Fiberglass markets over the last several weeks, we began a concentrated effort to find a suitable buyer. In our search for a buyer, we hoped to find an organization that reflects a similar culture. We knew at once that National Composites was a perfect fit that would support the projected customer demands and Sunrise family of employees far into the future.

Collectively, National Composite facilities will now have over 225,000 square feet of composite and thermoformed plastic manufacturing space in the upper mid-west to support the growing needs of industries served.

We at National Composites are happy to welcome the great people of Sunrise Fiberglass to our family of composite manufacturing solutions. Their impressive customer base and people-first culture made the decision to acquire Sunrise easy. We look forward to expanding our capabilities and footprint into the new markets and geographical location to serve current and new customers better.

National Composites, is a family and employee-owned multi-plant OEM supplier of custom FRP (Fibre-reinforced plastic), and thermoformed products. We take pride in offering the convenience, engagement, and focus of a small production facility, but with the resources, reliability, knowledge, and diverse capabilities of a large corporation.

In the future, existing customers of Sunrise Fiberglass will be able to take advantage of many new resources available through National Composites. Including, yet not limited to in house pattern, tooling, and prototyping, an engineering team with over a combined 100+ years of composite experience, and a multitude of added molding capabilities including, Spray-up, LRTM, CCBM (Bag Molding), RTM, LCM (Compression Molding), and thermo/vacuum forming.

This change in ownership/operations will officially take place on Monday, June 22, 2020. To all the Sunrise Fiberglass customers we welcome you to our family and look forward to working with you.
