Jessica LaCosse

Jessica LaCosse serves as HR Generalist at National Manufacturing Group’s Owosso facility, where she manages payroll and supports employees throughout the organization in recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and employee relations.

A Michigan State University graduate, Jessica brings a fresh perspective and enthusiasm for building her career in human resources and manufacturing. Before joining National, she completed an internship with automotive manufacturer Yanfeng, working at the corporate level with a primary focus on payroll. During that experience, visits to manufacturing facilities sparked her interest in the industry.

Jessica’s interest in manufacturing grew from experiencing the environment firsthand and seeing the behind-the-scenes processes of how things are made and built. As a recent graduate beginning her career in HR, she brings fresh ideas and knowledge from her education while remaining eager to learn from the experience and expertise of those around her.

At National Manufacturing Group, Jessica especially enjoys the people she works with and hopes to continue expanding her HR knowledge, taking on additional responsibilities and growing within the organization. Her long-term goal is to become someone her team can consistently rely on.

Jessica grew up in Okemos and now lives in East Lansing. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, painting, spending time on the lake, and being with friends and family. She’s also a proud Michigan State and Detroit Lions fan who considers fall and football season the best time of the year.

At home, Jessica has a Jack Russell named Scout, whom she describes as “small but mighty” — and a bit of a diva when it comes to deciding who makes her list of favorite people.

Jessica would love to travel to Italy someday to experience its food, art, and museums. And while she chose a career in HR and manufacturing, she says that in another life she could see herself working as a fashion designer or film producer.

One thing is non-negotiable no matter where her career takes her: starting the day with an iced vanilla latte from Starbucks.
