Brendon Barnes 

 

With nearly 30 years in manufacturing, Brendon Barnes knows the industry from the ground up—literally. He began his career on the production floor and worked his way through leadership roles to become National Manufacturing Group’s Regional Vice President of Operations – West.

 

Today, Brendon leads manufacturing and operations across multiple locations, focusing on safety, operational excellence, continuous improvement and, most importantly, developing great leaders. His experience spans manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, production management and operational finance, but his greatest strength is building high-performing teams and helping people reach their potential.

 

That people-first approach is also behind what Brendon considers one of his greatest professional accomplishments. Rather than pointing to a particular project or number, he’s most proud of the people he’s helped develop throughout his career—watching team members build new skills, take on greater responsibilities and grow into successful leaders themselves.

 

A Southwest Missouri native, Brendon calls the Joplin area home. When he’s not working, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll find him on a golf course or on the football field as a college football official.

 

Sports are a big part of life outside National. Brendon and his son are on a mission to visit every Major League Baseball stadium, and if manufacturing hadn’t come calling, he thinks he might have made a pretty good sports agent. Brendon would also love to travel throughout Europe to experience its history and culture. Until then, he’s perfectly content with family time, a round of golf and starting the day with a cold brew with almond milk.
