Gary Riedel

With more than 40 years of manufacturing experience—much of it in the automotive industry—Gary brings a wealth of knowledge and a practical approach to his role overseeing National’s plants and operations. One of his greatest strengths is seeing the big picture, identifying opportunities for positive change, and finding ways to make processes simpler, practical, and achievable for the entire team.

For Gary, one of the best parts of National Manufacturing Group is simple: the people and the product. He enjoys being part of a team that takes pride in what they do and what they produce.

Outside of work, Gary is an avid sports fan and a huge Detroit Lions and Michigan Wolverines fan. He and his wife also enjoy spending time with their three grown children and four granddaughters, especially at their condo in Port Austin, where fishing, kayaking, boating, and quality family time are usually on the agenda.

And here’s something you probably wouldn’t guess from meeting National’s COO: Gary is also a novelist! He has written a fictional novel that is currently in the process of being published.

Whether he’s helping move National forward, cheering on the Lions and Wolverines, or working toward becoming a published author, Gary brings plenty of experience—and a few surprises—to the National Manufacturing Group team.
